Delta IT was launched back in 2005 to be much more than just another IT company offering to repair and maintain a client’s computer systems. Its intention has always been to add value by understanding precisely what it is that a client does and then ensuring that their IT does everything possible to support and enhance its IT functionality, not just for the present but with an eye to the future.

Simon Fielding, the director responsible for marketing had become aware that the company had outgrown its initial and, in his own words, “home grown look” and needed an experienced branding and design agency to help them articulate and project the success and growth the company was experiencing.  Referred to Brand51 by a mutual business colleague, Simon immediately recognised the benefits that would attach to working with them.

Understand the Need
To be able to successfully re-present Delta IT’s brand, the team at Brand51 first needed to understand their vision, their values and their objectives. Initial meetings concentrated on these basics as Brand51 began the process of identifying, clarifying and defining Delta’s brand personality. This brainstorming allowed Brand51 to start the process of designing the new logo Delta would use to represent their business. Simon Fielding takes up the story, ”Having discovered Brand51 we never looked back. The team were able to quickly identify ways in which we could make the most of what we had already put in place whilst at the same time taking us up to the next level.”

Planning and Design
Design criteria will always be influenced by how and where a style and logo is going to be used. Having understood Delta’s EQ, Brand51 spent time getting to understand their IQ, the business model and processes used, all to identify how and where the designs they were formulating would be used, both on paper and digitally, adopting complimentary colours and shapes to suit. Brand51 designed templates for letterheads, business cards, invoices and quotes, in each case preparing files and submitting these for discussion and approval, and advising on the best weight and type of paper to use to achieve the maximum impact at an acceptable price.

Simon Fielding again, “What Brand51 came up with was a complete solution, not just a fix for one particular problem.”

Website and Literature
Brand51’s next project was to design Delta IT’s company brochure. It was decided that this should be a folder allowing various inserts to be included, depending on requirement. The team’s copywriter was given the brief for the words and the designers produced a selection of artwork for the folder, with  one insert as a discussion starter, developing the branding themes already determined. Stock photos were researched, identified and proposed for purchase.  Again suggestions were developed and refined consensually to arrive at the desired outcome, and, once agreed, replicated across each insert.

Concurrently with the above Brand51 was given the brief for the design and production of Delta’s new website. As before, the team’s copywriter was given a brief as to the content and voice of the copy, and Brand51’s website partners, Somerset Design (http://somersetdesign.co.uk/cms/) were given concepts as the basis for their work. To maximise the impact and response to the new website Delta received advice from Brand51 on how to set up and implement their social media.

Simon Fielding, “The value for money on our initial outlay was good and the return on investment that we made has been excellent. All of the products and services were delivered when Brand51 said they would be.”

And Now…
Brand51 continues to work closely with Delta IT, designing exhibition materials and most recently a leaflet to announce their move to new premises, again following their established design process of receiving a brief, providing initial design ideas, and developing and refining these to arrive at exactly what the client wants. As Simon Fielding from Delta IT puts it, “ The latest ideas are always available whilst at the same time still keeping to the original brand idea and the core beliefs of our company.”

And the last word,” It’s probably a little cliché to say, but I will not look anywhere else for our company’s branding and marketing needs. I would highly recommend the services of Brand51.”
